All teachers who are employed under the umbrella of the Teachers Service Commission TSC are entitled to promotion as it is outlined in the Career Progression Guidelines (CPG).
The Career Progression Guidelines (CPG) was introduced by the Teachers Service Commission in 2017 for teachers.
It outlines the minimum requirements for teachers’ employment and promotion. It also spells out the new grading structures for teachers and their respective salary scales.
The Career Progression Guidelines are very useful for Potential employees and teachers in service as it help them to know well in advance what they require to join the service and progress in their careers.
The guidelines further outline the skills and competences necessary for advancement in the profession. Teachers should therefore note the following primary factors before seeking for promotion as it is outlined in the CPG.

3.The academic and professional qualifications necessary and the decision making level expected from each job/assignment.
