2022 KCPE full Analysis & Results check
The current education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Wednesday 21st December 2022 , released the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results.
While issuing a speech at Mtihani House, cs. Machogu indicated that over 1.2 million students sat for the national examinations that commenced on November 18 with the best student scoring 431 marks.
The cabinet secretary released this shortly after presenting them to President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi.
Cs. Machogu thanked president Ruto for spearheading the administration of the examinations which he termed a success.
In a statement the Cs said “the candidates whose results I am releasing today will be admitted to Form One, under the 100 per cent transition policy,”
In English and kiswahili, these subjects recorded the highest improvement in comparison to the 2021 KCSE results.
A total of 9443 students scored above 400 marks.
Candidates who scored between 300 and 399 marks were 307,756 students while those who scored between 200 to 299 were 699,593 students.
According to the KNEC Chief Executive Officer, mr. David Njengere, the examination ran smoothly noting that no major malpractice was reported during the examinations.
Ngenjere also acknowledged the milestones that had been achieved in recent years given that the government was phasing out the national examinations.

“KNEC remains committed to delivering credible examinations and upholding integrity in the certification process,” he stated.
Teachers Service Commission (TSC) boss Nancy Macharia who also attended this event said that he has urged teachers to apply for positions that had been announced by the government as she acknowledged the role they played in overseeing the examinations.
Macharia’ confirmed that teachers have until December 23, 2022, to to submit application for the advertised jobs saying that it was the biggest recruitment drive since 1997.
A total of 30,550 new teacher recruits, that is 9,000 on permanent and pensionable terms and 21,550 teacher interns will be posted to handle the JSS before the opening of next term.
