First term for the year 2022 began on April,25th 2022.
This term is a ten-week long term .
Following the latest updates from the education sector ,all schools in the country now will take a three-day holiday between the 26th and the 29th of May 2022.
Most parents have however been caught unaware more especially the form one parents whose learners reported to school about two weeks ago.
This new academic school calendar started near to the middle of the year for the second and final time since the Corona Virus Pandemic interrupted educational activities across the country at the start of the school year.
In the new calendar the Second term will start on June 11th, 2022.
This term will also take 10-weeks with a three-day vacation between August 11th and 14th, 2022.
Then come 17th of September 2022, students in all Kenyan educational institutions would be offered one-week vacations.
The official start of the academic year 2022’s third and final term, which is one week shorter than the previous two, has been shifted to September 26th.
Take note that there will be no half-term break this term at any of the schools.
Inorder to get things started, the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations are scheduled to take place between the 28th of November and the 1st of December in the year 2022.
The other piece of information that we have is that the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations will be held between the 1st and 23rd of December in the year 2022.
Period of time allocated for the marking exercise is from the 2nd to the 20th of January 2023.
