Few weeks ago, Education Cabinet Secretary Prof Magoha stated that the government would not take responsibility for the loss incurred by schools following the recent spike in fire incidences.
However on another sad note, Mwimbi Boys Boarding primary school in Tharaka Nithi has been Razed Down by Fire shortly after students reported to school.
The fire incident started early this morning at around 5 am.
The fire started while students were preparing morning preps.
However, the cause of the fire has not been established.
The investigations have been launched to unravel the cause of this fire that has left property of unknown value destroyed.
School unrest has been a menace in the education sector since learners resumed studies after a long Covid-19 break.
With most of the school fires allegedly contributed by the congested academic calendar with students protesting over the tight schedule which was undertaken to ensure everything comes back to normal, students are continually encouraged to adhere to the small changes until normalcy resumes.
