Teachers employed by the Teachers Service Commission in job group C4 have a reason to smile as they are set for a salary increment.

TSC boss Dr. Nancy Macharia says that 30000 teachers in this job group will receive a salary increment at the end of February.
Macharia says that for long time,these teachers have suffered.Teachers in job group C4 are mainly primary school teachers who have worked for over fifteen years.
Macharia recognizes the good work these teachers have done and she therefore says that they deserve a salary increment. KNUT and KUPPET secretary generals Mr. Collins Oyuu and Akello Misori channelled these teachers’ grievances.
This forced the Teachers Service Commission to enter into an agreement with these officials and hence the salary increment.
It is so disheartening that some of teachers in this job group earn as little as 27000 shillings per month.
This news will be celebrated by these teachers as they have suffered for long.
It is actually good news.
