Blow to Current Intern Teachers as TSC set to Deploy them To Junior Secondary Schools January 2023
Current Intern Teachers Set To Be Deployed To Junior Secondary Schools In January 2023. According to a report by the Teachers Service Commission, junior secondary schools would hire and post teachers who are currently intern teachers as part of the competency-based curriculum.
“Teachers currently serving as teacher interns need not apply, the Commission shall directly recruit them and post them to Junior Secondary Schools,” said TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia in a statement.
Pioneer Grade Six students will join JSS, often known as Grade Seven.
The Ministry of Education has been working around the clock to make sure there are enough spaces for the JSS learners who will be transitioning alongside 2022 KCPE candidates beginning Form One in January.
There will be competition for space due to the double intake. 2,571,044 students are scheduled to enroll in secondary school, according to information from the Ministry of Education that is currently available.
1,250,649 of these pupils will be JSS students, making the remaining 1,320,395 Form One students the second last breed of the phased-out 8-4-4 system.
