The first term for the year 2022 began on April 25, the 25th day of the month. During the ten-week long term that begins on the 26th, every school in the country will take a three-day holiday between the 26th and the 29th of May 2022.

 

The academic school year will begin near to the middle of the year for the second and final time since the Corona Virus Pandemic interrupted educational activities across the country at the start of the school year.

 

The start of the second term will be on June 11th, 2022. Furthermore, it is a 10-week term with a three-day break midway between the 11th and 12th weeks.

Equally the start of the academic year 2022’s third and final term, which is one week shorter than the previous two, has been shifted to September 26th. Please note that there will be no half-term break this term at any of the schools.

 

At this third term,the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), and Kenya Primary School Examinations Association (KPSEA) will all be administered.

 

Inorder to get things started, the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) tests are set to take place in 2022 between November 28 and December 1.

In the year 2022, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations will be held between December 1 and December 23. The marking exercise will take place from January 2nd through January 20th, 2023.

Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) is yet to be scheduled since the Examination Body (KNEC) has yet to decide when it would be held.

 

And as part of the new competency-based curriculum, the KCPE will be phased out in favor of the previously mentioned KPSEA exams
