Kenyans who have misplaced or are missing information from their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) need not despair.
To help distressed certificate holders, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) runs a little-known portal called the Query Management Information System (QMIS).
The Query Management and Information System, or QMIS, is a digital platform that allows for the online submission and processing of inquiries.
The five main subject covered include:
1.Certification of Examination Results for candidates who have lost their certificates
2.Confirmation of Examination Results
3.Confirmation of Examination Results
4.Biodata amendments (name, photo, gender, year of birth, birth certificate number, citizenship, entry code.
5.Direct Recoveries for KCPE/KCSE result slips, certificates, and result printout.
How to Use
The portal is accessible by computer or mobile device via qmis.knec.ac.ke.
The user is then asked to sign up for an account if this is their first time. However, a registered user is required to enter their credentials while logging in.
The applicant is redirected to access the user manual. At this point, the user is able to choose the requirements that are pertinent to his inquiry and upload scanned copies of the papers that are necessary;
They follow the system’s prompts and make a payment in the specified amount. Payments are by M-pesa
As soon as the inquiry is processed, KNEC contacts the client via the specified email or phone number to inform them that their document is ready for pickup (s). At the time of collection, a client must provide the original copies of any documents they uploaded in support of their application.
How to Log in to the QMIS System
- Click on the link “click here to log in”
- Enter the email credentials and click on log in button.
- If forgotten your password, click “forgot password”
- A new password is sent to your email.
