Newsnzuri.com has confirmed with authority that the Malindi and Magarini sub-counties of Kilifi County urgently require more than 1,000 primary school teachers for their underfunded institutions.
The two sub-counties currently experience a severe staffing deficit, according to Fredrick Nguma, executive secretary of the Malindi branch of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), who recently spoke with this author from Malindi town.
More instructors being placed in the sub-counties, according to the executive secretary, will improve efficient teaching and learning.
Nguma blamed a lack of teachers for the poor results in national exams.
Additionally, he urged everyone involved in education in the two subcounties to work together to ensure that schools have the necessary resources for students to learn.
