All schools closed on 23rd of December 2021 foe the December holiday and we’re expected to resume on 4th January 2022 according to the revised academic calendar.
Through the daily nation newspaper page 8, Parents Association of Kenya is pleading with the cabinet secretary in charge of education to give them more time to look for fees and other requirements that their students might require during reporting dates.
According to their chairman Mr Nicholas, He had received many complaints form guardians that the holiday is too short for them to cater for festive season as well as getting enough money fro their children hence they are requesting Professor Magoha to extend reopening dates so that they get good time to look for adequate finance.
All students are encouraged to be disciplined and avoid cases that was witnessed last term.
They should also remember that their is new covid19 variant hence they should adhere to all containment measures put is place by the Ministry of health.
If the education ministry grants them this wish, then they could extend opening dates by a week for the parents and guardians to reorganize themselves and look for school fees for their children.
Meanwhile the reopening dates remain unchanged and in any case they are altered ,we will automatically let you aware in time .
