The case of arson attack has been high since the learners reopened for the second term.
More than 60 schools have been torched down by the rowdy students. Some of the schools have been closed indefinitely, Rangala boys being the latest where the learners demanded for an early holiday.
This has prompted the secondary schools heads association to propose postponement of Kenya certificate of secondary education for at least two months.
The heads also proposed early closure of schools to contain the growing indiscipline among the learners.
The school heads argue that the students may not be ready to sit the national examination scheduled for March next year leading to rising arson attack.
” When we brought on board Form four students last year. The students were left at home for a long time.
During the period, they were not properly engaged and some got into businesses while some picked up bad behaviour,” said Indumuli.
However, the education Cabinet secretary Magoha says the national examination council has already prepared the two national exams.
The students candidates should prepare to sit for their exams. Those found engaged in indiscipline cases will face the full force of the law.
