According to the ministry of education’s official term dates, the elementary and secondary school students will have a midterm vacation on Thursday, May 26.
The half-term break occurs exactly 5 weeks after the learners began the first term of the year 2022 on the 25th of April.
The half-term will be a three-day vacation between May 26 and May 29 in 2022.
Therefore parents with children in elementary and secondary boarding and day schools should expect their children to come home before Friday this week.
Official term one of the Ministry of Education’s 2022 academic year calendar will end on July 2, 2022, and students across the country will begin their holiday vacation, which will remain until July 10, 2022.
Term two of the 2022 academic year will begin on July 11th, and students will have a mid-term vacation from August 11th to August 14th.
Term two will expire on September 17th, 2022, allowing for a holiday that will extend until September 25th.
2022,school year’s final term will last seven weeks.
It will begin on September 26th and end on November 25th, with no half-term break for students.
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) will begin on November 28th, 2022, and end on December 1st, 2022.
All candidates for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) will begin sitting papers on January 2, 2023, and will finish on January 23, 2023.
