Incidents of fires in schools have been on the rise in the past with the Ministry of Education doing its best to ensure that such cases are kept to minimums or gotten rid of completely.
We have just received reports that a popular boys high school in Ngong’ was razed down by a fire last night that destroyed a dormitory at the institution.
The school, Oloolaiser High School in Ngong’ Hills saw a dormitory set on fire and about eight beds completely destroyed as well as other students property.
The fire was contained in time and did not cause much destruction but police have begun their investigations into the incident that has brought back sore memories.
Patrick Manyasi, the Kajiado North Police Commander confirmed the incident terming it unfortunate but promised swift investigations into the incident.
No casualty or injuries were reported in the fire that happened last night at the famous high school that has always excelled in its academics.
