KNEC Announces Slots for Teachers Who Will Mark KCSE/KCPE, How to Apply

Teachers in primary and secondary schools who are interested in serving as examiners for the upcoming national exams are now invited to apply for the positions as KNEC Announces Slots for Teachers Who Will Mark KCSE/KCPE,

 

On Tuesday, August 16, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) announced that it was accepting applications from qualified instructors for the upcoming Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examiner training programs (KCPE).

The training is scheduled to begin on September 18, 2022, and last for six days until September 24, 2022, on Saturday.

 

All candidates who have been shortlisted must pay a training cost of Ksh10,500.

 

Teachers will receive training from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) to enable them to serve as examiners for the KCPE and KCSE exams. The qualified candidates will be informed of the training location at a later time.

 

Candidates who have been shortlisted will be informed of the payment method. The KNEC examiners’ database will include the successful trainees. The statement said, in part, “They will then be engaged depending on the needs applying the criteria for recruitment of examiners.

 

Additionally, KNEC is looking for tutors to work with elementary school teachers of English composition and Kiswahili Insha as well as high school teachers of geography and Christian religious education.

 

In addition to these, students in high school study biology, agriculture, home science, computer science, history and government, and Islamic religious education.

 

How to Apply

 

A qualified Teachers Service Commission (TSC) number and the applicant’s status as an active teacher in the pertinent subject areas are required.

 

They need also hold a diploma in education or higher for KCSE grading, as well as a minimum score of P1 on the KCPE test and a minimum grade of C (plain) on the KCSE in the topic they are applying to train in.

 

In addition, candidates must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience, be under 50 years old, and be free of any TSC disciplinary actions.

 

The applicants are required to use the link to access the KNEC examiners’ site.

 

Users with CP2 accounts should enter their usernames and passwords to access the portal.

 

In order to receive new passwords for login into the system, users who have forgotten their CP2 passwords should click the “reset password” button, enter their mobile number in the format (2547********), and then submit;

 

Those who don’t have CP2 accounts should click on establish an account and adhere to the instructions to obtain login information.

 

The applicants are required to finish and save their personal profile after successfully logging in. The applicants should select the “apply for training” button on the dashboard so that they can select from all of the declared openings.

While the KCSE was planned to take place from December 1 to December 23, the KCPE will be administered from November 28 to December 1.

 

Beginning on January 2 and ending on January 20, 2023, the marking procedure will be carried out.
