Because the KNUT represented teachers, who are important to the system’s implementation, the union was a significant player in the entire process, according to SG Collins Oyuu.
The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) should also be included in the task group, according to Oyuu, who was speaking in Kisumu at the 94th Kenya Music Festival concluding ceremony.
The SG disallowed completely dismantling the system and labeled those advocating it as misguided.
He claimed that the only option was to examine the gaps in it, find answers for its flaws, and enhance its positive parts.
Oyuu also criticized politicians for demeaning teachers in regards to the CBC.
“It is wrong for an elected leader to claim that teachers are eliminating chickens in entire villages via CBC,” he said.
