In an effort to address the severe teacher shortage in schools, Teachers Service Commission (TSC) announced the beginning of a national recruiting drive.
According to the commission, there are a total of 5,000 new opportunities for teaching posts and an additional 8,230 positions to replace those quited due to attrition.
A total of 3,972 of the newly hired teachers will be responsible for working in a variety of secondary schools to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s 100% transition policy.
According to TSC Roadmap for July recruitment in 2022, the Publishing of the list of shortlisted candidates will be done on the TSC website between Wednesday 13th July 2022 and Friday 15th July 2022 (also to take 3 Days)
Important dates for interviews:
The County Selection Process and Filling of Application for Employment Forms by Successful Candidates will be done between Thursday 21st July 2022 – Wednesday 27th July 2022 ( interviews to take 5 Days )
During day for interviews, please ensure you carry with you the following important documents:
1). National Identity card, ID; both your Original and copy.
2).Your Two passport size photographs
3).Your Academic certificates (University/ College, KCPE & KCSE) and testimonials; Both originals and their photo copies.
4). carry your Official academic transcripts; both copies and originals
5). Carry your TSC registration Certificate; Both originals and copies. If this is not available then provide proof that the registration process has been initiated.
6). Carry your Kenya Revenue Authority, KRA, PIN certificate.
7). Your Bank plate for your bank account.
8).Your Duly filled pay point forms. These can be obtained at the bank.
9). Your GP69 Medical examination form. This should be filled by a certified Doctor at a Government Hospital.
10). Your National Hospital Insurance Fund, NHIF, card; Both original and copy.
11). Your Primary and Secondary School Leaving Certificates.
12). Your Co- curricular activities Certificates.
13).carry any other relevant certificates that belong to you.
