TSC:Over 20,000 interns to be posted to JSS across the country
In the latest update, TSC CEO Nancy Macharia has maintained that more than 21550 teacher interns would be sent to junior secondary schools (JSS) to help with student management.
According to Dr. Macharia , this will help in the facilitation of learning in junior secondary schools .
Macharia said this during his remarks on Wednesday during the release of the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education the kcpe results.
“ a total of 30,550 new teachers will be recruited, 9,000 under the permanent and pensionable terms and 21, 550 teacher under interns.
Macharia further pointed out that 137,772 teachers in total were employed during the administration of the 2022 KCPE test.
She added “in total there were a total of 28,408 centre managers, atitsl of 28,727 supervisors 74, 990 invigilators and 5,647 examiners,”
As per to KNEC CEO David Njengere, the KPSEA results would be made public on January 16 of the following year.
David Njengere added that there will be three reports on the first KPSEA exam.
These tests, that were given between November 28 and 30, had almost 1.3 million students and Come 2023 January, these students will move on to Grade 7, where they will enroll in junior secondary schools through the CBC program.
