Mr Guyo together with invigilators Hassan Wario, Caroline Kendi, Muktar Galgalo and Ali Hussein Godana and supervisor Safia Adan are believed to have aided the malpractice through mobile phones.

Police reports indicate that four phones suspected to belong to students were recovered hidden in the toilet.

This was after an alarm was raised over increasing number of candidates who were frequently sneaking out of the exam room to the toilet and back.

Two of the phones, that had been switched off, contained images of materials believed to have been the Chemistry paper that was done in the afternoon.

The phones, sources said, also had answers to the questions which the candidates reportedly went to look at before proceeding back to the exam room.

The six are detained at Kinna Police Station ahead of their arraignment.

A total of 831, 026 candidates are sitting the exams across the country.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old George Barasa was arrested in Busia for sitting for exam on behalf of his father.

A third year University student Brian Angwenyi was also nabbed for impersonating a candidate.

Education CS George Magoha yesterday warned over exam irregularities saying no one will be spared.
