The Public Service Commission has advised Kenyans not to fall into the trap of unscrupulous people who are advertising fake jobs.
“This is to notify the general public that the below advert circulating on social media is fake” Stated PSC in a statement issued on Monday September 12th.
The post with the heading “Vacant positions in the ministry of industrialization ,Trade and Enterprise Development” purported to massively recruit ECDE teachers, Nurses, Public health officers, Accountants, Social workers ,Counsellors ,Lecturers among other job position.
The commission has in the past advised those seeking public service jobs to always check its website to confirm the validity of the adverts before engaging further
The fake job advert had required applicants to provide their academic certificates, ID and passport size photo among other documents.
The Public Service Commission does not require applicants to pay money through mobile platforms or any other methods in order to be considered for advertised job opportunities.
PSC Jobs
Recently the Public Service Commission (PSC) announced 105 vacant slots in the Ministry of Industrialisation, Trade and Enterprise Development.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, August 24, PSC was seeking to hire qualified candidates from across the board with jobs ranging from trade development officers, and industrial development officers, to lecturers and instructors.
The commission is recruiting 15 trade development officer II, 15 Industrial Development I, 35 Industrial Development Officer II, 25 lecturers at the Kenya Industrial Training Institute located in Nakuru and 15 instructors at the same institution.
All qualified and interested candidates are required to submit their applications by Tuesday, September 13.
How to Apply
Online applications are accepted and must be submitted via the commission’s website (www.publicservice.go.ke).
Select the “Apply for jobs online” section under the “Jobs” tab.
You will be directed to the PSC job portal.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to thoroughly read through the brief guiding steps. New users must register for an account, while existing users simply need to sign in to submit an application.
A user’s ID or Passport number, last name, current email address, and a password are required during registration.
Use the ID/Passport Number and Password you just created to enter the system and apply for the posted jobs.
While in the portal, the users must fill in their personal details, professional and academic qualifications, experience, membership to professional bodies, referees and any other relevant information.
After that, select the tab labeled “Jobs & Internships” to start the application process.
