Over the past few months, arson attacks in schools have continued to rise. These arsons that have in most cases been started by rogue students have often led to destruction of unestimated value of school property.
Kipkelion Girls High School in Kipkelion West Sub-County County is the latest learning institution to go up in flames. This comes a day after the institution was re-opened for the third term.
After Wednesday’s re-opening of the Girl’s school, several students with outstanding arrears were sent back home to collect the school fees. This action might have prompted the girls to blaze down a section of buildings in the school.
The 7pm incident on Thursday night at Kipkelion Girls High School saw a series of dormitories gutted down by fire.
Police Officers from Kipkelion Police Station have since launched investigations into the matter.
