Senior Manager, Group Reporting
Job Description
Reporting to the Director- Group Financial Controller, the position holder will manage the financial reporting requirements of the Group including consolidations, statutory reporting, and management of the interim and annual audit process
To ensure that the group processes, compiles and reports the monthly, interim and annual financial accounts and results to management and the Group on a timely basis and in compliance with company procedures and the accounting policies set by the Group and in the formats prescribed.
Responsibilities
Evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes, and implement process changes consistent with best practices
Ensure full compliance with the Group accounting policy across all legal entities
Develop, manage, and execute plans for implementation of new or updated accounting and reporting pronouncements
Oversight of the periodic statutory financial reporting preparation, including disclosures for all Group entities

Review of Group consolidations at various levels for statutory reporting purposes

Management of the group’s financial reporting requirements to investors on a half-yearly and annual basis
Maintain good working relationships with key investor Finance personnel to ensure requirements are understood and timelines are adhered to
Management of the all audit process, including coordination with the audit teams (internal and external), managing deliverables and responding to queries
Ensure implementation of the company processes & procedures in the preparation of the accounting information while incorporating the International Financial Accounting Standards
Supervise and deliver the monthly preparation of the monthly group Trial Balance, General ledger and subsidiary ledgers accounts for the timely reporting of the Group Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash flow.
Coordinate group submissions and certifications on a regular basis as per group, Vodafone and Vodacom requirements.
Ensure compliance with all IFRS and IAS guidelines in local and group reporting including coordination of adoption of new IFRS and other accounting standards and interpretation thereof for proper accounting.
Support the business units in products ideation development and implementation ensuring correct reporting of revenues and costs is achieved at all times.
Monitor and Ensure cost center statements are prepared by the 2nd working day of the following month and any explanations or adjustments required are processed before WD3 of the month for accurate group reporting.
Monitor and ensure the preparation of the overheads and trend analysis to explain the monthly movements.
Collate and report weekly through trend analysis for all cost lines including the cost drivers to ensure any unusual movements from month to month with insightful explanations to ensure accuracy of monthly reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified Accountant with CPA (K)/ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent with an Honors degree from a recognized university;
6-8 years accounting experience in an international company or senior manager experience in the big four audit firms
At least 4 years management experience
Preparation of statutory accounts for over a period of at least 3 years and hands on experience in Group consolidation

Job Description
Reporting to the Director- Group Financial Controller, the position holder will lead and provide strategic oversight on the development, implementation, and execution of corporate treasury policies. To implement Treasury strategy that optimizes Funding, Investment and management of FX flows across the Group. To ensure a robust system of identification and proactive management of Treasury related risks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure production of high quality commercially driven forecasts and plans for treasury
Negotiate funding arrangements including corporate credit facilities and public and private financing arrangements, and minimize total cost of funds
Develop and maintain constructive relationships with banks
Identify opportunities in the banks for investment of excess cash on short or long term and negotiate for optimal yields rates from the market
Advise business units in the implementation, execution and analysis of corporate treasury policies

Job Description
Reporting to the Manager – Fixed Delivery Assurance,the position holder will be responsible for estate access acquisition for:

RSPONSIBILITIES
Acquire property entry access for fixed coverage both FTTH and FWA.

Assist with the setup of the fixed technology support contracts relevant to the various systems and solutions in the fixed space.
Help define and formulate key contract deliverables as well as KPI’s and SLA’s to be measured during the life of the support contracts.
Generate and manage on a monthly basis all penalties and service credit situations for non-adherence by the vendors or for support offered past SLAs.
Coordination and follow up with Supply Chain and Legal on contract formulation, approvals and sign-offs.
Support all contract transition activities including joint acceptance of the various hubs, sites, buildings and customer premise links.
Prepare justification documents for renewal or purchase of services when contract is due for expiry.
Initiation and drafting of the technical scope or requirements of new outsourced services contracts.
Continuously monitor and evaluate performance of all fixed technical vendors and partners for preventive as well as corrective/reactive maintenance activities against set KPIs and SLA whilst maintaining a weekly record and carrying out an analysis of the same.
Participate in regular Quality Assurance and Performance Audits of all service providers in all regions over all technologies and solutions.
Document and agree with service provider on ways to improve service quality and availability.
Identify key performance improvement requirements and timescales for delivery through continuous operational stakeholder meetings.
Ensure the service providers comply with Root Cause Analysis requirements on faults as required with consistent trending to identify and monitor repeat fault trends then work with the vendor to reduce and eliminate where possible.
Coordinate between all suppliers, key stakeholders and Safaricom operational teams when actions are required to improve and sustain performance.
Coordinate implementation of Improvement Plan for actions documented by the support partners.
Setting up, managing, documenting(reporting) and tracking regular quarterly or annual review meetings with suppliers, contractors, key stakeholders and the user teams to ensure smooth partnership.
Establish governance process for managing support services including governance review meetings to address contractual issues.
Coordinate monthly CAPEX/NOPEX per vendor spent reporting to finance and liaising with operations team to justify any deviation from set targets.
Prepare annual forecast figures as may be required by Budget Team for both CAPEX and NOPEX spend.
Ensure the vendor is compliant with relevant Safaricom Health & Safety regulations.

Engineer – Radio Access Network Support

Reporting to the Team Manager – Access Network Support, the position holder will be responsible for providing long term solutions and support to Radio Access systems faults and problems, providing second line maintenance support & solving problems escalated from first line maintenance, interfacing with the suppliers of the radio equipment and following up to resolution on escalated faults, performing radio systems upgrades and major network configuration changes and developing tools for quick troubleshooting and corrective maintenance processes.
