Panic gripped Kasarani, Nairobi County, on Tuesday afternoon, November 15, as a seven-story structure fell.

According to reports, numerous persons were believed to be trapped beneath the rubble after the structure collapsed.
Officers from City Hall are said to have visited in the morning for a normal inspection and told workers to leave the building site immediately, pronouncing it unsafe.
The supervisor, however, allegedly ignored the warning and continued with the construction.
At the time of publication, five individuals had been rescued from the wreckage and were being transported to a local hospital.
