The Ministry of education has released the official revised 2022/2023 term dates for schools.
It is important to remember that there were adjustments for 2nd term midterm break that was extended from 11th to 18th August 2022.
The New 2022 Pre-primary and primary schools terms dates
The 2022 KCPE:The KCPE begins on 28th November 2022 and ends on 1st December 2022. .
New 2022/2023 Lower School Calendar
It is applicable to all students in pre-primary and primary school pupils.
For Term 2: closing dates (16th September 2022) (10 weeks)
The Holiday: official from 17th September 2022 to 25th September 2022 (7 days)
For Term 3: The Opening Dates (26th September 2022), closing dates (25th November 2022)
The Holiday: from 26th November 2022 to 22nd January 2023 (7 weeks)
2022 Secondary schools term dates (opening and closing)
For 2022 KCSE:Note that KCSE begins on 25th November 2022 and ends on 23rd December 2022.
2022/2023 High School Calendar
The calendar is applicable to all secondary school students.
Term 2: Opening Dates (11th July 2022 2022), closing dates (16th September 2022) (10 weeks)
Dates for Holiday for second term: from 17th September 2022 to 25th September 2022 (7 days)
For Term 3: The Opening Dates (26th September 2022), closing dates (25th November 2022)
Holiday for third term: from 26th November 2022 to 22nd January 2023 (7 weeks)
The Official 2022 School calendar highlight
All Schools will not have mid break or half term in Term 3
KCSE and KCPE exams will be on December and November
Additionally, there will be a break of 7 weeks to allow candidates do their national national exams.
