Teachers who were employment in July this year have started to have their letters trickled down to different TSC sub county offices across the country .
Those teachers who filled the employment letters have been so anxious on when they will get their appointment letters which will make them be posted to various schools in the country.
A good number of counties have confirmed receiving the appointment letters for the teachers
Some of these counties include Narok, Kericho, Tana River, Siaya, Uasin Gishu and Kwale counties that have reported receiving some of the employment letters for both primary and secondary schools respectively.
Teachers hired in Primary school will get their letters from the TSC sub county offices as those in Secondary schools will get theirs from the secondary school Principals.
The teachers service commission,TSC had planned to post the newly recruited teachers to their new stations on 1st September 2022 according to TSC framework for teachers’ recruitment for July 2022.
Also note that some details reveal that the Commission will post the new recruits to their new schools from next month upto the month of January next year, 2023.
According to TSC , any newly employed graduate teacher is entitled to a starting salary now of KSH.38000 .
Note that this figure changes if one used to benefit from HELB loan since some amount is deducted.
The newly employed teachers start under (grade C2 ) initially known as job group K a part from their basic salaries also enjoy commuter allowance of KSH 5000 and rental house allowance of KSH 7500.

The Basic Salary ksh.34,955
The House Allowance ksh 7,500
The Commuter Allowanceksh. 5,000.
The Total Earnings (before deductions) KSH 47,455.
Note: above salaries are also subject to other official statutory deductions which include:
Childrens and widow’s Pension Scheme which is about Kshs. 699.10.
The University Loan Recovery of about Kshs. 5000.
The Other deductions include those made to teachers’unions such as KNUT and KUPPET, KEWOTA, PAYE plus sacco savings.
