The Teacher Professional tool of development has been improved of immensely. This was communicated to the Deputy headteachers who attended county workshops which was organized by the teachers service commission.
The Teacher Service Commission developed Teacher Professional Development Activities that has improved the quality of education.
Teachers are required to update all their teaching and learning activities each time this will be considered as a continuous activity unlike where teachers wait to do it at the end of the term .
The commission established that teachers have been filling TPAD without including the evidence to support their data. Which is crucial for evidence that whatever marks one is giving themselves they are genuine.
As communicated by the subcounty TSC director to the heads of schools. Teachers have been encouraged to fill term two TPAD on time to avoid deadline confusion.
Already teachers have been told to update their lesson observation and lesson plans online.
While updating this term TPAD, teachers are expected to upload the following verifiable documents for evidence that they are filling in genuine data in their TPAD.
Lesson observation which should be done twice a term , teacher preparedness checklist which includes schemes of work and records of work , scanned copy of lesson attendance, lesson recovery form which tells the employer that they have attended all lost lessons.
stamped scanned copy of lesson assessment this is a copy of the learners marked and checked exercises, approved copies of schemes of work, lesson notes, photos of extra curriculum activities like if one has participated in games they take a photo with students and upload it.
If one has attended seminars or capacity building seminars they will also upload the certificated they have been given.
Teachers are also expected to update their profile by the end of November and file their returns at the same time.
