The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has invited applications for presiding officers and polling clerks who will manage party primaries set to begin on April 14.
The party’s National Elections Board (NEB) announced on Monday it intended to hire 128 presiding officers and 100,000 polling clerks.
NEB Chairperson Anthony Mwaura revealed that the party had received clearance from the Ministry of Education to use gazetted primary schools as polling centres for purposes of the primaries.

1. On your browser, key in the url ‘UDA.ke’ then press enter. This will lead you to the UDA website home page.
2. On your left side of the screen, click the ‘Returning Officers, Presiding Officers Registration’ icon. A pop-up page with an online form will appear.
3. Fill in the form with your personal details including name, ID number, and previous working experience.
4. Select the position you are applying for, county, constituency and polling station.
The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) says it will conduct nominations in 12 counties for the positions of governor, and 19 for the position of Senator.
The nominations will also see 128 MP hopefuls battle it out for the party’s ticket.
Eight hundred and ninety-two (892) people have expressed interest in clinching the party’s ticket for MCA elections.
“The National Elections Board (NEB) has contracted reputable election managers who are currently undergoing treatment, and also recruitment of polling clerks has commenced,” said the party’s National Elections Board chairperson Anthony Mwaura.
The nominations will be held in all electoral areas where there is more than one paid up candidate, and other forms of nominations like consensus have not been applied.”
UDA warned that it will disqualify candidates who engage in violence, “especially against women aspirants”.
